Bio
I started practicing yoga ten years ago, soon after my first son was born; I realized instinctively that the only way I could be the steward of another soul was to first be connected to my own. At some point every child will be able to see clearly and directly inside the heart of his parents, and I wanted make sure that when Lucas looked into mine, what he saw was clean. Not perfect, but clean. Every time I am asked why I practice Yoga, that is what I say, and I feel this as truly and intensely now,all these years later, as I did when I first began. There is nowhere that Yoga cannot be applied, no place it is not relevant. Yoga inspires and challenges, clarifies and consoles. It is the perfect complement to any religious bent or structure; is the icing on every metaphorical cake. It helps to solve any problem while revealing the lesson embedded in every struggle. It helps us face who we are while discovering and uncovering the most Realized Self we could possibly be. The inward journey never ends, really, because with devotion and discipline we continue to grow inward and upward, become fuller and truer. We learn to navigate the sea of minutiae without losing sight of the big picture. It is facinating to me how something so universal can also be personal and unique. Always surprising; never disappointing; utterly healing; forever revealing and liberating. Namaste.
