If you havent been to Yoga...

What should I expect/bring when I come to Yoga Class?

First, wear comfortable clothing. If you have long hair, please fasten it back in a way that is comfortable. If you tend to sweat, you might want to bring a towel.

Second, bring a yoga mat if you have one, but don't worry, we have extras if you don't.

Third, be patient with yourself and the newness of this experience. Yoga isn't like going to the gym. Many workouts tend to create a disassociation with your own body--Yoga helps you become more one with it. You will also get in touch with and use muscles you didnt know you had (but in a non-aggressive, mindful way)!

Last, leave your expectations at the door when you arrive. Every experience we meet with unattachment and without agenda has the potential to be much better than we might have thought! Just come, and be...let the Yoga do the rest....

In their highest form, asanas are joyful and loving celebrations of the inner self...the spiritual essence that is inside each one of us..the spark of divinity that resides in the heart...

When we enter the present moment deeply, our regrets and sorrows disappear and we discover life in all it's wonders. Only when we realize that every act has a universal dimension and we cultivate compassion will we reach inner peace.
